Amber Jensen

Amber Jensen became a certified foot zone practitioner in 1994 after studying for approximately two years with Dr. Charles Ersdal, M.D., M.A., father of the Foot Zone Therapy Technique™. Following Dr. Ersdal’s death, Amber began teaching the Foot Zone Technique to students in Utah in 1996. Her passion to bring foot zoning to the public has never ceased. For nearly 25 years she has worked on several hundred clients with broad varieties of conditions. She studies the issues her clients are facing and helps bring them back to a normal line of health.

As Amber began working with clients, she realized she needed more tools to help them with each of the 4 bodies of health — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. She also realized she needed tools to help herself as a practitioner to create space between herself and her clients so she was not affected negatively as clients released emotion and energy throughout the zone. Consequently, she studied with Dr. Darren Weissman, a chiropractic, holistic physician based in Chicago, and certified in the LifeLine Technique™. This technique includes training in Muscle Response Testing and harmonizing subconscious emotional patterns that inhibit optimal health, success, and joy. Amber also trained with Nancy Wilson in Cranial Sacral, Allergy Release, and the Neuro Emotional Technique.

Amber’s passion for foot zoning comes from her own history. She suffered for 7 years with symptoms that doctor after doctor, and test after test, couldn’t treat or resolve. After her first foot zone, she felt an incredible release of stress and anxiety. Finally, someone believed her when she described the pain and agony she had been enduring. After all, her feet were telling the same story she was. She couldn’t believe the relief she felt from such a simple technique. Why didn’t everyone know about this?! Since then, she has pursued education and practice to understand how to help others experience the health and wellness she has enjoyed over the years. Amber’s zeal for teaching comes from a simple desire to create for her students what she wished she’d had at the beginning of her journey.

Amber’s desire prompted her to make some amazing advancements in her foot zone practice. Through her extensive study of anatomy and the human body, Amber has discovered an additional 100 acupressure points on the feet. Also, in 1997 she experienced the power of gems in her personal life and introduced them into her foot zone practice, having her clients hold gems while she worked on their feet. As requested by her students, Amber introduced gem sticks in 2007 as a tool to use in the foot zone. Her students were thrilled to see the way the gems amplified the signals their hands triggered on their client’s feet.

To aid her clients and students, Amber has gained in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, gem therapy, color therapy, Tao 5 element, energy work, health supplementation, greens, tinctures, chakras, and aroma therapy. She also has extensive knowledge of meridians and fascia work, and is an active licensed massage apprentice. Over the years, she has written human anatomy and physiology curriculum to aid her students as they become practitioners. She believes a basic knowledge of the human body and its systems can help anyone better understand how their body can be a support and a strength to them throughout their lives.

Amber served as one of the original board members of the Utah Foot Zone Association (UFZA), and served as its membership clerk for two years. Wellness Life Zone Foot Zone Academy is one of several foot zone schools that were instrumental in establishing the UFZA and its policies and procedures.

Amber lives in South Jordan, Utah with her husband, Doug. They have 6 children, 5 of whom are married, and 8 grandchildren. Amber spends much of her time barefoot and outside. When she isn’t teaching or working with clients, she enjoys 4-wheeling, working with the youth in her community, and spending time with her grandbabies. She still considers Montana home and loves to spend time there on the family ranch. She lives by her dad’s philosophy, “There isn’t anyone I can’t love when given a chance to know their story,” and is an avid believer that “a smile is a curve that can set most anything straight.” She has been deeply influenced by the people she has met and the things she has learned and has great hope for the future.
